Same story as white van speaker scam stories.  My guys drove a red dented SUV.  Hangs around bank parking lots.  Fast talker, had polo tops on with Wahl Dorf logo on shirts, had catalog, and other systems in the car.  Similar story about the boss ordering more equipment than needed and told him to sell for extra bonus cash.  Pricing drops very fast.  They got me for $100 after showing me the MSRP on the box in excess of $3k.  I pride myself on never falling for these deals, but they were so good they got me.  Even gave me a receipt from JM Sound, Inc, and said if I changed my mind I can return it to them in Sunrise, FL.  I have left 2 messages for JM and no return call.  I absolutely find this disgusting after reading all the similar stories on-line.  I truly hope somebody catches these crooks and puts an end to this scam!!  I'd like to know if these speakers even work?

So you thought you were getting someone's stolen speakers.  Turned out you were getting ripped off.  Serves you right.

No rip-off here, just guys spotting suckers like you and they came out on top.  Your greed and foolishness got you in trouble, not the guys in the red dented SUV.  Just say NO.

The tipoff is painfully obvious.

They got me for $100 after showing me the MSRP on the box in excess of $3k. "

What are people thinking?   When was the last time you saw a box of high end electronics with a big MSRP printed on it???   Probably never, unless you were being scammed in a parking lot.  I've never seen an MSRP printed on the box of any piece of electronics I've ever bought.  It just isn't done (except by scammers).   Of course this scam (like most scams) is based on the victims own greed to cause them to ignore the obvious.

I truly hope somebody catches these crooks and puts an end to this scam!!"

Technically, it's hard to call them crooks.   You fell for a salespitch that contained some untruths.  I think if that were illegal (as in criminal), there would be very few salesmen running free.  As long as there are folks out there who think they can get a $3K sound system for $100, this scam won't end.

"I'd like to know if these speakers even work?"

Perhaps you should determine that before claiming you were ripped off.

This wont stop as long as there are people like you who think you are getting a great deal in a parking lot.

Your complaint is about a red dented SUV, selling speakers, that you handed your money over to. Thanks, I will look out for that.
