Upon contacting Wakefiled and associates i was informed that they had purchased a bill from an emergency room doctor in Colorado Springs in March 2011. They said they had mailed me a notification, and had contacted me by phone, of which neither had take place. They hold tried to tell me that they spoke with me over the phone, of which that never took place. I asked them to send me the bill so I can do research on the bill to find out what exactly had happen. After doing some research i learned that the emergency room doctor never forward the bill to the people who manage the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) program in Colorado. I contacted up the the company who handles all the billing to for the emergency room staff at memorial hospital, spoke with one of their agents, who had admitted to not forwarding on the bill. I asked to speak to the manager and was passed on the a VM. I received a call back from the manager the following day, explained to the manager what had happen. I told him i would pay my end to him on payments, and he replied that he would call the agency, asked them to remove the item from my credit report, but i would have to make my payments to them.
The manager called me back not less than than hour later telling me that Wakefiled and associate had tried to contact me via the phone, and that they had spoken to me over the phone, of which never took place. I contacted up wakefiled and associates and we bad hard argument over the phone, which ended with me calling them flat out liers
I offered to make a settlement, they refused, we both hung up. They called me on February 26th 2013, and I spoke with the representative again, and told him i would be willing the pay the original amount on payments, he passed me onto his manager, and it got ugly again, to the point where i just hung up the phone.
After researching the debt I know that the debt was originally created on an emergency room visit. and was told by Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) representative when making arrangements with the cost, that my cost and deductibles would be said amount, and that the remainder would be handled in this process. I made full payments as agreed. Never saw another bill prior to receiving the alert from the credit reporting agency.
Now I have Wakefield and associates asking for money, on a bill I never received from them, a conversation that never took place outside the last two we had this month of February 2013. A report placed against my credit which prevents me from getting a DoD job in the springs which reduces my chances of gaining full time employment making decent money in Colorado Springs
After checking my report again, they added another five dollars to the total debt, and have also added the debt to two other credit reporting agency.
