Wal-Mart Connect Internet Service is certainly a rip-off company. I cancelled the service 5/5/2004 or about and was told they did not have my screen name that it was with AOL.

The person I spoke with had poor English and said it would be cancelled. Here two weeks later upon checking my Visa Account I find it has not been cancelled. I called three times today 5/20/2004 and was told they would connect me to the Billing Dept. and each time they hung up on me. This is a sleasy Way to get the Credit card Number and charge you.

I have contacted the Headquarters of Wal-Mart in Bentonville, Ar both with e-mail and a telephone followup.

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

hello,

i am an ex wal-mart employee of 10 years service.i worked in a massachusetts store.i watched the philosphy of management and above
change drastically after the death of founder sam walton.the wal mart cheer"whose number 1"with the
answer"the customer" became whose number one
with the answer"payroll".i watched as full time
employees were working 44 hours/wk and up,to where they were being sent home early before they reached 40 hours to preserve the stores payroll.
this is from the nations largest monetary company
larger than exxon, mobil, the first company to top the oil companies in over 40 years.

now i will say this, the people who still work in home office, still seem to have the true
wal mart spirit.so if you want action that is the place to go.

i to am being charged for wsalmart even though i canceled it.
