Wal-Mart in San Antonio TX changed the oil of my 1998 Nissan Sentra. I drove the car home - tried to start it the next day - and it would not start - indicating IT HAD NO OIL! I phoned Wal-mart and the Automotive Manager and mechanic RUSHED out with the correct oil filter, claiming the computer had given them the wrong filter number. They ASSURED me if there were any problems they would be responsible.

By the next 3,000 mile oil change we found ourselves having to add a quart of oil a week. We took the car to our mechanic and the damage caused by the incorrect oil filter - which caused pressure build up - amounted to $830 worth of damages. I filed the claim with Wal-Mart's insurance company - and they have offered to pay $99.00!!!

My car was in excellent condition. I have to maintain my vehicles because I am a single mother with a son in college, and of course I'm on a limited income and I cannot afford to have these big expenses. It is so unfair that they caused this problem and they aren't taking any responsibility for it! They know they did it - that's why they rushed over to the car to begin with!
