Wal Mart dont buy wal mart gift cards Hanford California
i bought a wal mart visa card a couple weeks ago and tried to use it on the internet. it let me use half of the amount of my card but when i tried to use the rest of the amount on my card it was declined. I tried to contact the green dot company that deals with the walmart gift cards and could not get ahold of anybody. I tried about 8 more times and still could not get ahold of any one. I also tried to get ahold of them through there website also and that too didnt work or help. Do not buy these visa gift cards from wal mart. I have bought the gift visa cards from other stores and have had no problems but this WALMART visa card is a joke. DONT BUY FROM WALMART!!

When trying to run a Wal-Mart Visa Gift Card through our registers, it keeps prompting "Alternate Tender Required: Press."
Example: Customer bought about $25.00 worth of stuff, and had a $100 gift card. We originally tendered it for the $25, but it gave us the above message. We even tried it for a penny... same thing. The customer assured us, and we believed, that it was a new card, because it had no swipe marks and she had just received it the previous day. "Greed Dot" (as we like to call it) is no longer being pushed in our store, and all green dot cards from our store are sitting in a dumpster somewhere, per management.
Very sorry about everything that's happened to you, and I'm thinking you need to persue Green Dot with a lawsuit for your missing money.
