I am a former employee at the local Wal-Mart,I put 13 applications in to work there when I finally heard something back from them they told me to come in and fill out paper work that i had the job. Everyone welcomed me on board and were very nice. Well, they hired me on right at Christmas!!!! Everyone knows that between Thanksgiving and Christmas it's hell shopping and working there! I was TRAINING and accidentally pushed a wrong key and the CSM(customer service manager) litterally cusses me out!!! well, i tell her that i'm very sorry it was an accident i didn't mean to hit the key and everything and she doesn't want to hear it. The months pass,it's now Februrary and my step-mother finds out that she may have cancer and i request time off to go and stay with her to help her-they REFUSE it!!!! Well, i tell them ok,i understand b/c i hadn't been there but a couple of months, well, 2 weeks later my sister goes into labor with my nephew but they won't let me off for a day for that either. I reminded them of the FAMILY ACT and not only that, they let another girl off b/c her sister went into labor right at Christmas. I honestly believe it's because i'm a Christian because they wouldn't let me go to church then come back to work yet they'd let Catholics,7 day adventist,Scientology and Mormons go???? UM,DISCRIMINATION!!!(i'm baptist)
I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THE TAYLORSVILLE WAL-MART AGAIN!!!!!! SAM WALTON WOULD ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE IF HE KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON-ESPECIALLY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!!!MANAGERS DATING REGULAR EMPLOYEES?? (THAT'S THE 1ST RULE-YA DON'T DO IT)

Get a real job and stay out of Wal Mart. If everyone would just do what I do, don't go there at all they would be happier people and Wally World could wither away!

is something you would not be elegible for.

(a) An ''eligible employee'' is an employee of a covered employer
who:
(1) Has been employed by the employer for at least 12 months, and
(2) Has been employed for at least 1,250 hours of service during the
12-month period immediately preceding the commencement of the leave.

You were not there long enough for FMLA.

From how what you described in your OP, there is no indication that they did not allow you to do what you wanted because of your religion. I think you are jumping to conclusions with that assertion.
