I advise anybody who is even considering using the Wal-Mart Money Card or Green Dot card backed by GE Capital to read the MANY bad reviews on their services and how they hold your money hostage with vague answers as to WHY, while they investigate it.  I had them for over 2 years without a glitch then when I had a considerable amount of money in the account they froze it as they deemed there were suspicious charges.  ALL charges WERE MINE - WERE LEGAL and there was nothing charged there that had not been charged there for the past 2 years.  RUN like hell - these folks are scam artist and I can not even imagine how much money they are taking in every day in interest by blocking the users use of their own money and declining transactions.  SCAM from top to bottom!  Do you really want a card that YOU KNOW has Money in it but then when you get to the register that you are declined the transaction?  I would think not!  Very embarrassing and totally uncalled for when there is 10 times the money in the account to cover the transaction.  GOOD LUCK and do not say you were not warned if you deem to take on this Scam of a Company and it's Card.

I have already talked with Green Dot and Wal-Mart after DAYS of trying and staying on hold for HOURS.  They have informed me my card has been cancelled since I deposited money to the card multiple times over several days - HUMMMMMM ---- doesn't it say deposit your pay checks?   Seems that is not what they actually want you to do?  I explained that I am self employed and my paychecks come in sporatically but it fell on deaf ears as all they could say is their rehearsed line of I'm sorry your having trouble - yada yada yada.

I fail to see how me depositing my paychecks is any different than somebody else depositing theirs.  A paycheck is a paycheck!  It seems what they say on their website and what they actually want you to do is not one in the same.  Oh well - I will no longer shop at Wal-Mart or any Green Dot businesses - I realize this limits my options but sometimes you just have to take a stand on Big Business Strong Arm Tactics.   I think the problem came down to my deposits added up to enough for them to not be able to charge a service fee every month so they were not profitting enough from my association with them.

Irregardless of their excuses, it comes down to - Do YOU really want a card that is just SHUT OFF with mega dollars in the account and never be notified?  I would think not!
