Complaint Review: Wal-mart

Two complaints. First the managers at Wal-mart can't seem to figure out that the shelves don't just magically have products appear on them, everything needs to be ordered. The Wal-Marts in Reno are notorious for being constantly understocked, particularly the superwal-mart.

And don't think that wal-mart only screws employees and customers. Wal-mart, Carson City, actaully screwed the city. They went in several years ago, with the agreement that they could never become a supercenter. Just a few years ago they went to the city and demanded that they be allowed to build a supercenter on the cite of the wal-mart.

The city said no, so wal-mart moved ten miles down the road into Douglas county. This would be well and good, if it didn't put Douglas about five million dollars over budget. This just pisses everyone in Norhtern Nevada, because that's about five million of OUR tax dollars going to Vegas.

Wal-Mart is about to open another wal-mart (just outside of Carson City of course) that will send another couple of million a year down to Vegas. Needless to say, the people who are smart enough to realize what's going on (and those who can actually read English) aren't too happy about that, especially as they talk about cutting Northern nevads education budget by 6 million dollars a year. Later I'll be lodging a protest demanding that all that money from Wal-Mart going to Vegas go for the education budget, will anyone join me.
