Walgreens Balance Financial Withhold a refund on my card for 3 weeks Salt Lake City Nationwide

I purchased an item with this card on Jan 2nd, and returned it, due to it been defective, on Jan 5th. 15 days later I am still waiting for the refund to hit my card balance as Balance Financial is withholding it. The merchant provided proof the return was processed and cleared, Walgreens admits that it was processed but they cannot put it back on my card without a receipt!!!!

Why would Walgreens need a receipt when the merchant already credited my account! I have called 8 times already as the amount in reference is close to $500 and no one, not even the Escalation team can help me.  I cannot believe the ineptness of the staff!! They laughed when I said we have been waiting 15 days for the refund, they cannot explain why they need a receipt and they say they have no managers on staff to hear my complaint. How can Walgreens conduct business like this?

On top of all this they asked for us to fax a copy of the return receipt so they can process my refund. I have faxed it 3 times already, with confirmation, and they still refuse to put my credit back on the account. How is this even legal?

If you are in the market for a debit prepaid card I suggest you DO NOT get the Balance Financial from Walgreeens cause they will take make your life a living hell.
