I went to Walgreens 3 times to have my perscription filled (Adderall XR) and the first time they shorted me I accepted it as a mistake and they gave me the rest of my persciption after alot of fit pitching!
And proving it by the size of my bottle (60 pills would not even fit in the bottle they gave me!) The bottle stated 1 pill twice a day & Qty. 60 (even written that way on the actual doctors paper!) They stated all their meds. were accounted for (signed off by 2 people!) until I brought the bottle to them! They said it was a mistake.

Ok, so I gave them the 2nd try. pick up my medicine going out of town got 100 miles away and relized the small bottle again with all the same things on the bottle! Counted, and shorted again half a perscription! Called and was told I could pick it up when I got back. I get back and they claim there was no note on my file or perscription waiting for me. And refused to call the Manager and said I had to come back!

While I was there I had just left the hospital with my 4yr granddaughter (throwing up, running fever and needing her perscription) They called a code 5 twice! (bathroom?) for her to throw up and her about to pass out with fever and after raising hell about my perscription they still told me she had another 30 min! They put her behind people that weren't even there!!! I called the manager again in tears so the manager went back them and made them fill it! My GOD!! He said they said they did not know we were waiting!!

I went back the next day and the manager said that the pharmasist figured that because nomally Adderal XR is given only once a day that my perscription was a mistake!! (they wrote on the bottle QTY 60 and twice a day) Come on!! Why not correct the bottle then! She stated she was going to make note on my file to double check my perscriptions next time.

So I wanted to see and went back the following month and GUESS WHAT they shorted me again! I counted at the counter and called the manager immediately. He check with the pharmacist and she said it was correct I had to prove it again then she claims that the counter automaticly counts them and the pills where an odd size (come on!) And there was no note on my file!
The manager gave me the rest of my medicine and my money back. I will never go there again!

Please if this has happened to you, please let me know. Is there somplace I can report this! I'm furious! Thanks for listening.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Being an ex employee at walgreens, it is very easy to miscount some medications. When I say some, I mean those that are not as controlled as Adderall. The first thing any medication goes through at the filling station is it is weighed with a pharmacy scale. If it matches the correct ammount, then it is put in a bottle and send to the pharmacist. However, Adderall or any other Controlled medication in that field, needs to be scale weighed AND double counted.

Go to the Walgreens website and click on contact us. Then click on Customer Service and write in a compliment or a complaint. Corporate and store management will get an email regarding the situation and will take care of the problem.
