I am forced to use Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy to get my Cysteran eye drops. I have Cystinosis. These eye drops must be taken every hour, on the hour, while awake so that I don't go blind.

 

It is the holidays and shipping is limited. I called on 12/20/16 and wasted an hour and thirty one minutes of my time trying to get this issue resolved. I also have chronic faituge. So in additon to taking up my time, they took up eneergy that could have been spent elsewhere. 

 

I was told I needed a prior authorization and that they contacted my doctor. I called my doctor and messeged her. I also called my insurance.

 

The insurance company said that they fixed it. I called Walgreens back and informed them of this. They did not see it in their system. They said that a Hannah Diday would talk to the perosn I talked to at the insurance.

 

I called this morning and was told that Hannah did not, in fact, do as I was told she would do by David L but talked to someone else and they said the opposite thing that the person I spoke to at my insurance--Malay-said. 

 

I called today and spoke to Cathy C., who said she would try to get it fixed.

 

I have had two strokes. I was instructed by my doctor to avoid all forms of stress. They put me through this every. Single. Month.

 

I am this close to finding a laywer and suing them for undue stress.

 The REAL issue is your insurance company NOT authorizing YOUR meds. Walgreens is entitled to be paid for the dispencment of thier product. It IS a business no matter how much YOU want it to be otherwise. Each and every month your insurance is NOT PAYING!!! This causes a hold up at the pharmacy side. So instead of blaming walgreens turn that anger on the REAL culprits. YOUR insurance company.
