WALGREENS 7 MINUTES LATER RETURNED ITEM WITH ALLERGY CONTENTS, REFUNDED ONLY 50%$, NO SIGNS ANYWHERE RE POLICY DEERFIELD Illinois
[1] co.'s customer contact page rejected my e-letter because it FALSELY claimed my VALID address was not valid.
[2] I was forced to return UNOPENED product purchased only 7 minutes earlier due to allergy-inducing contents. Received only 50%$ back due to apparently new NOT POSTED COMPANY CORPORATE policy. Tried to e-write to them and ANOTHER e-contact form problem: an "optional" item caused another rejection when I tried to submit and when I hit lookup for optional item it knocked out entire e-letter I had written claiming "optional" non-answer was invalid! HORRIBLE!
[3] not big $ but BIG prinicple, NO POSTING OF NEW POLICY ANYWHERE AT CASH REGISTERS.

Did you buy it with buy 1 get another 50% off mix and match?

Only way this happens is if you buy 2 products in the buy 1 get one 50% off Mix and Match deals. If so you return one item you only get 50% back. If it is buy 1 get 1 free you get no money back. So you would need to return both items. However. some management will just return 50% of the cost of one item in B1G1 deals.
In no state are these policies required to be posted.

COURTEOUS REPLY REBUTTAL TO ASSUMPTION OF OUR MISTAKE

I bought the product for my wife, not me, so yes, I did not grasp that certain contents which have no effect on me might be impossible for my wife to deal with, it was not her fault. OK, I should carry a list of every allergy-reaction OTC in the world with me in my pocket, but still, I believe in good faith that this was wrong.
If you still disagree, then, courteously, I respecttfully disagree with you, but I still think this is wrong. Thanks.

You didn't mention the "product". But since I doubt this was a prescription or gift card, the only way this would have happened is if you didn't present a receipt.
So can you please explain how you lost the receipt in the 7 minutes between buying the product and wanting to return it? Or let me guess..you didn't get one and when you returned to the register not a single employee remembered you being there just 7 minutes earlier.

But your report makes no sense. What is the reason you returned the product again? Did you not read the box to see the instructions and warnings?? Never heard of any store only giving back 50% of bought product unless it was out of warranty per store policy.
And NO I do not work there. AND how were you FORCED to return it? Did someone hold a gun to your head?
