My daughter was getting her hair done at walmart salon. Myself and my friend walked her in to the salon and was going to proceed to shop and mess around until she was done. As I was walking out my twelve year old daughter said she was hungry, I then went and got a small bag of Doritio chips and went to self-checkout lane. A kind persson working ther seen I had one item and there was a long line at self-checkout with some problem. He offered to have me pay at the stand that is in front of the four self-checkout lanes to overlook them. I walked up to the stand and he said .89 cents for sure it was under a dollar due to the fact i did not want to put small amount on credit card. I scrapped change from bottom of purse and even made joke about the dirt that was with it we both laughed. I take th echips to my daughter and she eats only one and wanted no more my friend took the chips and we stated walking around and shopping. I guess when my friend had finished the bag of chips she put the empty bag on the shelf instead of in the trash. We check out I bought 40 dollars worth of items and my daughter and friend had wentr ahead of me to play the claw machine. I pay for items and begin to walk out of store when I see a man with my daughter she runs towards me he put his hands on my twelve year old daughter and pushes her down and several people about 20 gahter around me tell me to look down and not say a word. In a panic i hear my daughter crying my name and he oushed me to go. I say what is this about he says shut up b**ch you know what this is about. Still not knowuing really that this was even securtiy so taken back and in shock really. They opush me and my friend which is pregnant through the back doors. I say wait a minute my daughter needs me they yell at her to stop crying and set down on a bench in the shoe department. We walk in thsi little room my friend says hey im pregnant and I am going to get sick. They say your a liar and let her throw up all over floor and the soda I had a recepit for they refused to let her have a drink. Kurt which is head of security at walmart in festus missouri along with a mexican guy named dave and a woman that was named april were in the room. They would not let me call my husband to come get my twelve yeard old daughter instead she sit out ther all by herself for over 3 hours, where more than 800 sex offenders are registered near. they put her in much harm. They accused me of chips and I said pull the tape. then I had clothing from walmarts in the past and shoes on from a target and they said I stold those too. he then grabbed my purse I said I think I need an attorney or something he dumped my purse all in the floor. he found weed I had in there which was an invasion of my privacy and he was not a cop and had no right to look in my stuff. i was not trying to sell weed to walmart customers or anyhting other than shop. I am 32 years old never a ticket never an arrest so I f I smoke weed thats my business, I dont go to bars and drink so dont judge me. he calls cops and tells them that i hot him and all kind of lies he was the most terrible person i have ever met. my poor daughter was alone and of cousre no husband could come because kurt would get his as* kicked. they escort me out of the walmart in handcuffs in front of everyone my daughter was next to me so upset. they give me a citation for theft under 500 dollars. myt husband goes that very knight to walmart looking for kurt to have tape pulled from in room and in store. They refuse to give us his last name for security reasons and informs my husband that in the mail we would get a letter with item that were stolen. Which we never did the citation had no court date i was told to call th epolice department and find out my court date when i called they have no record of my citation or that it exists, its been about 1 year and still no court date so they f**ked with me for nothing the weed was such a little amount that I did not get charged they released me that knight. walmart and krt are terrible please lets get justice. every other week My husband just sits and looks for kurt and one day he will find him and he is a professional wrestler and bodybuilder that will make him pay for what he did to me and my twelve yeard old daughter.

Are from illiterate "innocent" people who are victimized for doing nothing wrong... Somehow i believe it should be the other way around.
Seriously, Out of every post i have read through out this site, the majority of complaints are coming from people that can't spell their names and by the end of the post it's quite obvious that they are the ones at fault, not the store.
It's sad that America is over run by these people.

To Steve. You spelled receipt wrong......Stacy, If this was such an idiotic report, why would you waste your perfect time in responding to it? To the other perfect people. My aren't we quick to judge? Kristi, I am so sorry you had to go through this. Yes Kristi, I believe you. And I also understand your concern that your 12 year old daughter was left alone while you were illegally detained.
The moment you asked for an attorney is the moment you should have been allowed a phone call. Please tell your husband to not even think of speaking to the jerk that did this to you. Let your attorney do it for you. Forget the fact you had a small amount of pot. Hire an attorney. You only have so much time since the incident happened to do so.
For all the perfect people with the nasty comments. Just so you know, I do not spoke pot. I just happen to agree with Kristi. I would rather see somebody smoke pot than see a stinking, slurring, s****.> I sure hope none of you ever have the misfortune to run across an over zealous cop want-a-be at your local Walmart. Or should i actually hope for the opposite? Then maybe you will learn a little empathy. I was under the impression that this forum was to report on the rip offs and scams that unfortunately plague our society. But now i see that a lot of you just use the site to run down and feel superior to somebody less fortunate than yourselves.
Kristi. I am glad your daughter is safe at home with you. Now just make sure that is the same place you keep your husband. Please don't make anymore public threats against the jerks that did this to you. They can be used against you. Please at least call and speak with an attorney about this. To Stacy and all others that have things to say, I forgot your perfect right afterall I rather meet someone on the road stoned than drunk, Im sure you lowlifes hit the bottle and judge all others and work at walmart. Well your wrong I did not steal thats why no charges were pressed and wrong again walmart had no right to look through my personal stuff and I asked to go back to find the employee that rung me out and they did refuse. Just a walmart security want to be cop just about as sick as you stacy and all others. You love walmart and sticking up for the one thats wrong go ahead stacy go ahead b***h did I spell that right stacy and b***h. What I might do and carry is my personal business but my daughter is a kid that should not have been treated that way the sex offender thing is an issue because no too long ago a sex offender raped a child in the parking lot of the same walmart.
So ya any time a child is left alone in any busy department store they could be abducted do you watch the new or you hitting th ebottle and being apredator that works for your local walmart? you know if anyone ever did that to my wife and daughter I would beat that until he begged me to end his life. there are just some things that you dont do. you just dont mess with a mans family.nothing would ever be able to persuade a father from defending his family.yeah I already read where someone was talking crap about the pot.so what.so she smokes some pot now and then. I personally dont do it. I have when I was younger. Im guessing that makes me a bad person also.

Walmart has some sort of proof that you stole something -- otherwise they would not have taken the time to detain you in the manner in which they did. You already admit to other illegal activity and behavior in your life. Shoplifting does not seem too far-fetched for someone like you.

There is much more to this story. And, you should have never allowed the WalMart thugs to detain you if you truly did nothing wrong! Personally, I am waiting for the day one of those jerks touches me.
Even looking through the sheer illiteracy here, the facts do not add up. You really need to go back to school and get an education, as illiteracy takes away from credibility.
And, maybe you friend should not have used the shelf as a garbage can!

Kristi....I feel bad that you and your daughter had to go thru that. IF it's all true Id be finding me a lawyer ASAP. PLEASE dont let your husband.....in his effort to defend you and the daughter go after Kurt.....its not worth the trouble.
You hear sooo much of this happening anymore.....especially at Walmart. I happen to like the store for a variety of reasons so Im not apt to bash them just for kicks.
Ive tripped the security alarms at them more than once. Never could figure out why other than I have a LOT of artificial joints of titanium and lots of bolts pins and screws. Every time it happens I let them look at what Ive purchased and try to explain about the bionic side of me :-)) LOL The same store and the same people have heard my story over n over but still they persist. I get fed up with that stores BS.....especially when Ive personally witnessed people stealing. Ive told store employees what Ive witnessed....where...and what was taken and they smile and laugh as they walk away.
I had a foster kid umpteen years ago that would steal these places blind and was never caught. Hell...it took me awhile to figure out what she was doing. I wouldnt take her shopping, let her go with me nor would I go with her anymore. Id seen her walk out of more than one store with 2 pair of new shoes.......stolen....hundreds in makeup and cologne.....stolen. When I realized I couldnt stop her, I reported it myself.....to the store management. They basically said "oh well"......we didnt see it and cant prove it. Mind you.....this was prolly 20 years ago now.
Anyway Kristi....I hope your daughter is ok and that you've not suffered any long term effects from the trauma.

There is quite a bit about this report that doesn't ring true. At the very least, parts seem to have been exaggerated. The thread title mentions sex offenders when there was no sexual assault. The privacy laws do not apply, so we can also toss out the invasion of privacy bit.
I have a hard time believing that WalMart's AP employee called the OP a b***h. I also have a hard time believing that their employees said to go ahead and let the pregnant friend throw up on the floor.
I actually can believe that a WalMart employee thought the OP's party stole a bag of chips. I just don't believe all of the tidbits in this report.

You smoke Weed and have a 12 year old daughter....Ummmm. Well at least you don't go to bars. Then again going to a bar is legal, posessing Weed is not.
As to the "theft". You of course had the receipt for the items you purchased. If not you of course asked them to talk to the person who rung you up.
I will also tell you that making that sort of threat where your Husband will make him pay, is going to get your Husband in much more trouble than you ever would have been for petty theft. We are talking Prison time if he actually assults him.
