Walmart Auto Service Screw-ups Unsafe incompetent service screwed many others too abused & mistreated ripoff San Jose California

Took a car in for up-priced oil change service that is supposed to include complete inspection and fluids. Reported all tires were in good shape with 7/32 tread on rear tires. Went to Ford dealer the next day for service, and the Ford dealer pointed out that both rear tires were worn through to the steel belts on the inside edge--some inspection!

For some reason (must be altzeimers), I took a second car in for the same service. Aside from the fact that the fluids were not filled, I happened to glance out the window to see them putting a different oil in than I had specified--the oil they were using did not meet the manufacturer's requirement for the car, which would have voided the warranty if there had been an engine problem.

Taking a lesson from Momento, I now have written on my arm never to go back to Walmart for auto service...

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

(if any public officals or big wig legal types reads this i am willing to testify in court for no money against this company. i have no money for legal fees or i would have fought them myself. they are getting away with illegal business in california and something needs to be done about it so that it doesn't happen to anyone else!!!..i have strong documentation to prove my case)

i worked at a walmart in sacramento ca. me along with six others were wrongfully terminated from the auto lube area there all within a three month period of time. i was fired in nov. since then i have tried to collect the unemployment benefits along with the other guys, and walmart has tried to fight this.saying weve violated policies and we dont deserve this handout!

i am a single dad raising a daughter. i have lost virtually everything! i have worked 13 hard years never being fired until now. what's worse is walmart has been telling prospective negative things about me making it difficult to find work!this is money many other people who were wrongfully terminted like myself deserve!
for the associate being terminated there is no recourse.all the company pollicies in place to protect the worker are a complete sham!

OPEN DOOR POLICY AND MY HONESTY ARE WHAT GOT ME FIRED!

while i was employed at walmart i saw numerous lapses in safety and gross neglegence of tle managers and associates. at times working with little, damaged or no tools. other times the underground floor drain would back up oil into the ground water (in April of 2004 sacramento metro fire dept fined this walmart for oil leaking into the ground and water), it would also fill lower bay with three inces of used oil, causeing slip injuries and environmental concerns
another associate and i fought repetedly with the tle mgr and district manager about fixing floor drains, and saftey grates above the oil pit..

well the grates got replaced, so did me and the other guy.. and even after the fire dept fined them the lower bay drains still back up! i have seen cars stolen from the lube express line. customer cars were damaged on a daily basis knicks dents you name it. engines were started without oil or improper oil levels. once somebody put the wrong key in the wrong vehicle causeing the key to jam. the key was removed by vise grips causeing damage to the vehicle steering column(the customer was parked nextdoor at the kragen, door open shaking his head with his dash panel torn apart!)this was never reported.

walmart accepted tire work on a humvee with custom military tires. the customer paid to have them mounted. this walmart does not have the tire saftey cage for mounting these massive tires. to seat the bead the tires were ignighted with lighter fluid causeing an explosion for the bead to seat.(this is a method used in mounting tractor tires although im not to keen to the exact science) all this took place in an unenclosed area and in customer walk areas.

a few tips!
1)never have your vehicle serviced at walmart!

2)when you have your car vacumed make sure to hide all loose change and cash..it will get sucked up and emptied into pockets..the most change ive seen sucked up in a day 40$

3)walmart everstart batteries are more commonly refered to as neverstart!just buy one youll be back.

4)make sure to check all fluid levels and drain plug seals.check for oil leakage.and always make them wash the excess oil from the undercarrage..its their job

thats about it for now. i could go on for ever about this and i have evidence to prove it!lets all fight to change walmarts labor practices! because if the employees are'nt getting pissed on,then its you the customer who is being ripped off!
