Walmart EverStart battery Changed warranty policy after purchase 18336 Nationwide
I have used walmart EverStart batteries for about temperature years. They used to be great batteries, in recent years their quality has dropped off but I kept buying and using them because they warranted the with no hassle, quick and easy. .. today one of my truck wouldn't turn over, I tested the battery the proper way one cell at a time to determine exactly what the problem with it was, after a test that takes five minutes I diagnosed that the battery has one bad cell .... so I took it to Walmart with the receipt showing that it was only 14 months old with a 3 year free replacement warranty ( that when I bought it was a hassle free warranty ), I was told that I would have to leave the battery with them so they could give it a deep charge and then test it..... besides the fact that I was paying an employee of mine to wait for me to get back with this battery, doing a test after a deep charge is a vague test that is likely to give a false positive . I explained the the "technician " that if he did an individual cell test it would only take a few minutes and I could be on my way he didn't even know what I was talking about and told me that he has to stick to Walmarts policy. The main problem I have is walmart changing their policy after I purchased this battery. If this was their policy prior to my purchase I would have went elsewhere. .. and from now on I will
