Walmart Super Center Over charge for check cashing Stuart, Florida
On 11/04/2009, I took an elderly charge to Walmart to cash her $1,250.00 Social Security check. I assumed the price was $3.00 as in the past and as posted.
Upon receiving the receipt I started to explain to the person I was helping get her check cashed it was only a three dollar charge, but found it to be $6.00 instead. The cashier knew nothing of the increase in charge for check cashing. It seems this charge had not been posted and it is only for checks over $1,000.00 to the 1,500.00 limit that Walmart has imposed. This seems to be a penalty charge for all the elderly in the area that cash thier Social Security checks at Walmart. I did get the extra $3.00 refunded.
I have not gone into the disrespect to me, my charge and the cashier that the Service Manager unleashed upon us and again I see things that would NEVER happen if Sam was still alive.
