Avoid this auctioner at all costs. Do not do business with him, do not consign with him.  This man is a complete fraud who has suddenly cancelled auctions at the auction on multiple cases due to "not enough buyers showing".  A couple months ago I went to an auction by Doylestown and he cancelled after waiting around for 45 minutes, previously he canceled it in his own back yard for the same exact reason. I have been going to his auction for 4 years now. Not anymore. He only cares about the money he makes and not about his customers,  no sense in business or proper business protocol.  You can have 20 or so people on a rainy day for an auction that the merchandise should have been at a yard sale and he tells everyone to go home because he simply doesn't want to "give it away".  Never in 40 years have I ever seen an auctioneer do that. If you wanna cancel an auction due to weather or due to a fact you are too lazy then post it online or email your customers on your list the morning of. DO NOT JUST CANCEL AT THE AUCTION 20 MINUTES AFTER IT WAS SUPPOSED TO START WITHOUT WARNING ANYONE PRIOR. Not everyone enjoys burning the atmosphere up with gas and waste an entire weekend day just to hear "Auction is postponed due to not enough buyers". I don't understand why anyone would go to his auction ever again simply because you don't know what side of the bed he woke up that morning.

Walt does not advertise your products other than on one auction site and then bitches about the many costs that go into running an auction. He says it's too expensive to post it in the paper or get his own website. But yet every other auctioner does it? He has constantly bitched about buyers being too cheap and not being to "f-ing" afford a certain item since they didn't want to go another dollar. Then he bitches and throws other auctioners under the bus because of the way they do business. He creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. Avoid getting into any personal conversations as Walt is extremly one sided politically and will call a certain party a bunch of morons and has repeatedly said racist remarks about Chinese and Hispanics. There is a reason why noone goes to his auctions. If you are looking for an auctioner to consign with or are looking to attend an auction go with many of the other reliable auctioners such as Arner, Houser, Dotta etc...  Never again will I set foot in another Bukowski auction.

Honesty and Integrity, Not Vendetta of falsehoods over cancelled auctions due to weather

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Tue, October 10, 2017

This post is false and the record will be set.  This post is defamatory and the person posting seems to have a vendetta based on what he or she does not know.

The auctioneer does not have the authority to cancel auctions, only the person under contract has the authority to cancel.  If that is their decision, the auctioneer is just the communicator, not the decision maker.  He has to abide by their decision when it is made.

This auctioneer has NEVER had an auction in his own backyard as is clearly stated in this post.  This just proves how mixed up this individual who posted is.

This auctioneer is the opposite of the characterization.  Other numerous characterizations in this post are defamatory. This auctioneer does not use profanity, unlike the person who wrote this post.  This auctioneer does auctioneering out of enjoyment.  While it is important to make the most out of the auction, helping people is just as important.  It is not only about money, but people.  Unlike many in the business, I believe in integrity and honesty, and don"t take kindly to others who rip people off.  This auctioneer will go through items in houses or storage places, spending not only hours or days, but even weeks, getting the items ready for auction, at no extra charge.  Not many other auctioneers will do this type of extra work, if any at all.  This is not someone interested in money, but rather someone who cares deeply about the auction and the people involved.  This auctioneer also does charity auctions for no fee.

False again is the statement about advertising.  There are many types of advertising utilized, and just because this person is unaware does not mean a thing.  They state that there is no newspaper advertising, but every auction is advertised in the newspaper, online and other sources.

The person who posted this uses the statement complete fraud.  While any person is entitled to their opinion in the United States of America based on the Constitution, cancelling an auction at the request of the person under contract does not make that person a complete fraud.  Fraud is deceit or criminal action for the purpose of financial gain.  Clearly, their statement is again not true.

Anyone who reads this can see that the person who posted this has no credibility and has a vendetta based on cancelled auctions due to weather at the request of the legal decision maker.  Yes, it is always unfortunate for any inconvenience, but when it rains, it is always a possibility.

I have never had a complaint in over thirty years of auctioning.

It is sad that over cancelled outdoor auctions due to weather this person calls this auctioneer distrustful.  This person needs to move on.  Let it go.
