Before going to Las Vegas for a special holiday my husband booked us tickets to see David Guetta at the Wynn hotel pool party.  These were booked through a website linked to the Wynn hotel website so we presumed they would be completely above board.

Having since seen other reviews and having experienced what we have we now know that they are con artists.

We printed our tickets that cost $150 in total and took them with us to Vegas.  On the day we arrived 30 minutes after the event was due to begin and there were many groups of people milling around complaining as they weren't allowed entry.  There were people sent on a wild goose chase to pick up tickets and when they finally got their tickets they were told they couldn't enter as the event was over subscribed. We have never in all of our lives seen so many customers at anything ever with tickets that weren't allowed entry and even more shocking was that this chaos was taking place at a 5* hotel.

We were told that we would get our money back and that want tickets is 'very good' as they would be able to see we were unable to enter we would get our money back. The people manning the gate to enter said that it would say somewhere on our tickets to arrive before the event- erm no it doesn't! they then said it would definitely say on the wanttickets.com website- surprise surprise, it doesn't!

Our holiday treat and what we had looked forward to the most about Vegas was spoilt, we also wasted a day as this was a day time event.

On returning to the UK my husband contacted wanttickets.com and of course you can't call them as they don't give a telephone number like all good fraudsters.

When they eventually emailed my husband back it was a very short rude email that said the gate stayed open until 3PM which it absolutely did not and is a down right lie.

We hung around when we were told they were over exposed waiting for the manager, we spent time queuing with lots of other people at the concierge desks and we also went for a coffee and came back to see if anything had changed. We arrived 30 minutes after the gates should have opened and it says nowhere that you must arrive before the event start time or not gain entry.

I am completely convinced that this is a scam and they take peoples money and then you don't have anything you can do. I expect they over sell dramatically for each event and then take the extra money and not refund it.

I then became involved and emailed the Wynn and also the ticket company.  Both told me they would investigate it.  the Wynn have not bothered to reply as yet and the ticket company despite telling me it was up to the promoter and they needed to check with them when I chased today all they could say to me was 'we didn't offer refunds for this event therefore there is nothing we can do'

This is an absolute disgrace and as I work in marketing and we booked through a high end travel agents in Alderley
edge, Cheshire I will be making sure my friends and family and anyone that asks for Vegas advice is well aware of this scam.

I work in marketing and this is dreadful PR for the Wynn to let an illegal practise like this go on and to link their website to the wanttickets.com site. Be careful if booking tickets in Vegas and avoid wanttickets.com at all costs as you will no doubt not get to see the act and be incredibly disappointed.
