10:00 am, On June 6th, 2007 I received a call from Rebekah C at what she said was "Hi _________ this is Rebecka, I am from warehouse services with our copier contract, I am so sorry, but I was supposed to call you last month. I made a huge mistake by not calling; the price of your toner went up from $4.98 to $5.98. I was supposed to call and inform you before the price went up. So what we want to do is send you the toner at the old price, since this is our mistake. Then next time you need toner it will be at the new price. Is that OK?" I said yes, thinking they are with our copier contractor, All Copy. She then said "Great, I am so sorry again. Now can I send you a fax and will you sign it. All it says is that we did talk and I am giving you the old price so my boss sees that I fixed this and then fax it back, We will send your toner out right away" I said ok. I received the fax signed it in a hurry and faxed it back. (This was all while I was in a clinical staff meeting)


I was out of town when the toner arrived, it was put in the copier room with the rest of the supplies and on June 21st, 2007 I received the bill, via mail, for $552.78. I called All Copy on June 22, 2007 and asked them about the bill, they told me I am the 3rd customer to call with this issue. She proceeded to tell me they are not with all copy and that it is a scam. I then called IDC SERVCO and spoke with a woman named Stephanie. I told her my case, and disclosed that I will not be paying for this and I need to return it. Stephanie explained that IDC SERVCO is the 3rd party and has nothing to do with who called. She then put me on hold. When she returned she told me that she spoke with her manager and he will take off 60%, because I would still need to pay for the shipping and handling. I responded with I need to talk with my boss, can I call you back with an answer? Stephanie agreed. The number I reached her at was 1-800-446-9835 ext. # 506.

I called back at 10:50am still on 6/22/07 and asked Stephanie to fax me the copy she has of the order confirmation. She gladly agreed and said "I will get it over to you immediately." I gave her the fax number. At 4pm I still have not received the fax.

At 11:30 am I called 760-746-2455 and spoke with Shelly Ninez, she had told me was a supervisor of Warehouse Service Center Inc. I started off by explaining the whole story, before I was half way into the story, she cut me off and asked "Did I sign a confirmation?" I replied with "Yes, but I was told it was something different." Shelly then asked for the account number, invoice number and the business name. I gave those to her, and told her I have IND SERVCO's permission to return and that I will not be paying for anything. Shelly replied with We will send a pick up. I will call IDC SERVCO and have them get a UPS return today for you, it will/may take 7 to 10 days for UPS to get the pick up but in the mean time I will draw up a receipt that states that you do not owe any money and will not owe any money. So that way when UPS arrives you will have proof that no money is owed or to be paid. Is your fax number 720*******?" I replied with Yes madam, and what was your name?" She said "Shelly Ninez" I said thank you and Shelly replied with We will get this all taken care of ______, Thank you." And we ended the phone call. As of 4:56 pm on 6/22/07 I have not received a fax.

These companies are toner pirates (((Redacted))). Do not pay them!

Very similar scenario, except I had the "pleasure" of dealing with SCD Services / Warehouse Service Center Inc. Someone called our company and gave us the same speil, we forgot to call you last month, toner prices went up but we can give you the old price, just sign this form and fax it back. I faxed the form back and then received a bill for $465.29 for 1 toner cartridge!

Several states are perusing legal action against fraudulent companies like these(http://www.iowa.gov/government/ag/consumer/press_releases/cos.html).

All orders by Warehouse Service Center are procured with the express consent of the recipient. Consent for first time oders must obtained in writing prior to the shipment of any merchandise.

Warehouse Service Center does not do business with customer who are under contract for supplies. The confirmation that must be signed prior to shipment clearly states that Warehouse Service Center is unafilliated with any other supplier, manufacturer, authorized distributor, or seller, lessor or servicer of equipment. Prices may be unrelated to any price previously paid or otherwise available.

Orders may be cancelled. This consumer accurately depicts the procedure for issuing a pick up via UPS, however, since this complaint has no identifying information attached, I have no way of knowing whether supplies were shipped to this consumer or not, nor picked up or not.
