Complaint Review: warrantech

i bought my 2nd panasonic projector from projector people in 5 yrs. this time the co.offered a 5 yr waranty for $320. i thought this was good and and would give me peace of mind, nothing could have been further from the truth.

the projector broke i spent over $1,900 for w/ extended warranty! i was told it was tooo costly to repair. this was a highly rated projector. I was now told from warrantech that they would not reapi it which really disappointed me, but they were going to now offer me a replacement, sounds good right...?

i asked about what would happen w/ my warranty that i still had 2 yrs left on i was told they were going to give me a new projector that was over 2,000... not i looked it up and it's a $1200 projetor.
i called back and said this was not acceptable that I wanted equal value. they said specs are pretty much same, but I read reviews on it and it's not! they are trying to get off by giving me a 1200 projector when i spent over 1900. this is terrible customer service. I did nothing wrong bought my extended waaranty and now am getting the shaft from warrantech! i found a fair replacement and was told no they would give me $1200 buyout.

I am outraged and would suggest no one ever buy an extended waaranty from warrantech!!!!

you would think your buying peace of mind with a 5yr warranty and they still find a loophole to screw you over! never ever deal with them...
