In Sept 2004 I was contacted by them to purchase an Extended Warranty. I did and I was making my monthly payments to MEPCO every month and it was completed in Sept 2005. Then unfortunately in May 2006 the vehicle coverred was totaled and I submitted a letter to them asking them to cancel my policy and I was expecting a Refund from them.

From here on is it a BIG BLUR to me. I have spoken to a few people and they ALL have given me a different version of what is going on. I was told by the first person that it will take about 6 weeks.I waited and then on the 6th week I called back and I was told that the refund check was SEND.

So, I waited a few more days and called back. The gentleman I spoke to that time state that it was still in processing. I decided to check the address. They had an address (3 years old) and he claimed that I did NOT get it because it went there. Well, the address belongs to my parents. My dad is a mailman and he checked a letter from them was NEVER received by the local post office.

So, I called back and spoke to the same guy. He told me that I must have misunderstood him. He stated that he did tell me that they NEVER send it and it will be send shortly. He said that he does NOT have any other information to when OR how much.

Which brings the point why I believe I was mislead.
He told me that the police is ONLY GOOD FOR 30,000 Miles. I was told when I purchased it (when I made the down payment ) that it was good until 2009. According to him since when the vehicle was totaled i was at 47,000 Miles : he said that I probably will NOT get that much EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER USE THE POLICY.

Getting back to the mailed check : TODAY is THURSDAY 9/21/06 and still did NOT have the check. I called back and I was told to call their REFUND DEAPTMENT and speak to them directly because apparently NOBODY could give me an accurate information. I did and I left the lady a message stating that I am very upset that they have been giving me the run around for the past 2 mos and that I WANT somebody to call me back and just be honest with me.
Well, I still have NOT heard from her. So, my suggestion to everybody out there : Do NOT get extended warranties : it is a scam and it is NOT even worth it UNLESS you are buying a $100,000 car.
