I purchased an extended warranty in March of 2007. I was using their payment plan. I had need of a car repair in April of 2007, a head gasket blew on the motor. They initially denied the claim, but when I pointed out that the claim was covered, they sent out an adjuster to visually inspect the car.

After a great amount of hassle, particularly with the repair facility trying to make repairs that WAH wanted to pay less for, the repairs were completed. Two years later, the same problem occurred. The repair facility called and Warranty Activation Headquarters denied the claim stating that it was not covered. I mentioned that it was and that they had covered the same problem two years ago. They said that they "accidentally" covered the repair last time and it was not covered. I asked for a copy of my contract. They sent a copy of a warranty that did not look at all like the one that I had, did not have my signature on it, and did not resemble the warranty that they have posted on their website (they made it up).

Warning, the difference between this time and the last was that I made my last payment. Once they have their money, they will go to extremes to not HONOR their portion of the agreement.

Where is your copy?

You stated the copy of the contract mailed didn't look like your original. If you were able to compare the original to the copy, what did your original state about coverage. If your original contract shows it should be covered, why not let the company know? Did your original have your signature on it as well?

You stated the warranty was bought in March of 2007 and you had a repair in April. Then you have another repair two years later. Are you sure your dates are correct? Maybe you had another warranty from a different company. It's not 2009 yet which according to your dates is when the 2nd repair occurred. Just curious.
