On Dec. 06, 2008 I went online to find that WaMu had charged me 2 charges of $33 dollars for NSF fees that the money was in the bank for. I called there customer service and waited on hold for ever for a live person to talk with and they said that they only hold deposits for 24 hours and that the funds are avaiable I pointed out to them that the hold had been on my deposit for 4 days at that point (remind you that I had only had 1 NSF on a check before this). the customer service rep. proceeded to tell me that i was in the wrong for this. I demanded to talk to a manager at that point I waited for about 10 mins for the Manager and the manager then found it my way and reversed the fees and paid the checks (I had to get extremly hot with them first).

Then later that night (3 hours later)I went to the bank to make a deposit and it would not allow me to make a deposit or withdrawl any money again I called the customer Service Center and was told that my account was placed on hold by the "Risk Operations Department" the CSR transfered me to the risk department that was closed and would not open until Monday at 6am. I proceeded to call the customer service department again and demanded a manager at that point they could not tell me why it was put on hold or why it was fine all the way upto about 6pm on Saturday night.

I called the "Risk Operations Department" on Monday and was told that they closed my account due to withdarwl history and deposit history on the account the only deposits that go into this account is my unemployment check. And my childrens child support. This guy in risk operations told me that they were closing my account on Dec. 18th and that they are not going to honor any of the checks that I have wrote on the account. I have rent outstanding and a few utilitie bills I wrote off this account that are not getting paid. All I get from these people is OH Well your fault.

I can not do anything with the money that is in the account until the 18th either. Is there anyone else that this has happened to. What can I do because I have to pay my landlord, the phone company and the Electric company.

WAMU never resolves problems they cause

FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND OFFICE OF THRIFT SUPERVISION.

WAMU staff will only lie about why they cannot fix the problems they cause.

You have to file complaints with government to get anything resolved. Otherwise they will just ignore you.

been there - done that - WAMU only fixed problems with my account when the office of thrift supervision was involved.
