Washington Mutual Credit Card Sold my credit card account ripoff Henderson Nevada
I have had my WaMu credit card for just under a year. My account is and has always been up to date and current.
Since I have a small limit I recently called and requested a credit increase. I was told WaMu periodically raises or lowers limits based also on the amount of time you have had the account and not upon customer request.
Less then two weeks after I made the request I recieve a letter from WaMu saying my account had been transfered to Columbus Bank and Trust Company. I am filling this report to ask am I the only one this has happened to? Also, is this legal?

I don't know of any law prohibiting them from 'selling' your CC account...

What is "wrong" with Columbus Bank and Trust Company?? Do they have a rep like CapOne?
Don't you have some credit unions you could join? And why do you have a "low limit"? Unless you consider $10,000 a low limit.
