In February, 2009, i started the application to refinance my home mortgage with my current mortgagee, Washington Mutual, now known as Washington Mutual/JP Morgan Chase.

This company has manipulated the process, used delay tactics and deceitful misleading information to me during the THREE MONTH process. There have been weeks, where I called daily for their responses, finally finding someone new to answer my questions who then told me that my file was handed off. I received an application approval letter, three days before its expiration, with no contact information, fax number or telephone number included for followup.

I was promised repeatedly by everyone i contacted that it would be completed in a few weeks.

Three months have gone by and today (May 18), WaMu informed me that the application has expired and they will not honor it, even though all the delays were clearly their fault, and they have no evidence at all that any delays were my responsibility (since they were not).

MaMu has used deceitful business practices. They have misrepresented the truth. They have lied to me. They have intentionally delayed the process to keep me in a high cost loan (6.5%). They should be punished because I am sure they have not singled only me out for this special treatment. More than likely they are using this technique on everyone who applies for a reduction in their rate.

As you can see, I have been on your situation, I got approved but I got decline by the underwriters, My loan processor stilll gave me hope on my loan, she said she will submit it again after asking for an explanation on the reason of the decline but untill now I have not heard from her since then.
Last May 14, 2009 she said she just submit my loan back again to the underwriters for another review: this is what it says:

and so I wait, after two days,I sent an e-mail again and said that maybe it was denied again cause I have not heard from her after two days, so I am asking for a decline letter, so I can go on with my life. Then she send me an e-mail again on May 20, 2009 and she said this on her e-mail:

I have not heard from her yet, I am still counting and praying that maybe the underwriters will overturn the decline and give me my loan.

How about you did you get any refund? They said that if the decline is final they will return $350 of the appplication fee... let's see and wait and i will update my post.

I do not know who to blame at the Chase Bank home loan, is it the Mortgage Consultant, the Loan Processor or the underwriters
