I ordered a Washington Mutual Gift Card as a Christmas gift in the amount of $500 through their website. They sent me an email a few hours later telling me the card was on its way. A few days later I got an email telling me that the account was on hold and I needed to call them. I called an spoke to a rep who informed me that I needed to fax them a utility bill and a copy of my driver license. At this point I am out of town until after the holiday and could not do this even if I intended to follow these suspicious instructions (so much for convienience of online ordering).

Now Christmas is over and I was screwed because they've held my money. I STILL have not gotten a refund of my $500!! They tell me that my account has a hold on it. This is the most absurd company I have ever dealt with.
