Waste Management Charging for services they did not provide, fabricating unpaid balances for services already paid for Lancaster Pennsylvania
Switched to new trash collection company (River Valley Disposal) starting 5/1/2007, returned Waste Management invoice for May, Jun, Jul & Aug 2007 marked canceled. Received bill from WM in SEP for services provided in May, Jun Jul & Aug. Provided invoices from new trash hauler and they finally acknowledged that I owed them nothing after 5/1/2007. They fabriacted an unpaid balance for MAR/APR 2007 and filed this claim with RMS collection services. Previous claim was also filed through RMS. When I told RMS that I had paid Waste Management in full for JAN, FEB, MAR & APR they stated that WM was a large company and probably had inaccurate records, I would need to provide proof. I faxed the Waste Management invoice for those 4 months and a canceled check as proof of payment to the fax number provided by RMS.
They acknowledge receipt of the information but choose to ignore the content. Any attempt to discuss the invoice and canceled check is refused. They simply state that unless I called to pay the money I owe there is no further need for discussion.
Waste Management stated that I owe nothing after 5/1/2007. The Waste Mangement invoice clearly shows I have no unpaid balance prior to 1/1/2007 and the invoice clearly shows an invoiced amount for those 4 months and a canceled check to verify I paid.
Unless we lived in some warped fantasyland I have no ides what they are charging me for. They cannot provide any documentation to substantiate the charge or unpaid amount I owe.
In summmary RMS has been harrassing me since SEP 07 to pay unpaid balances on services that Waste Management hasn't provided or fabricated unpaid balances based on inaccurate or non-existing records. If I don't pay I assume they can post information that will affect my credit. Lets see pay this amount or else, sounds like extortion to me.
