Called WM to inquire about hot water heater and if I had to have a special pick-up. Was told $15 extra. I did NOT schedule. When I called back to schedule a week later, was told $20. What?! Shaniqua said "let me check your record".... "oh yes, there is a note saying $15 - ok, we can do it for that". What!?

I called back to cancel because we decided to recycle it (which WM does not do) and was told that "the fee was non-refundable and that I was told that by Shaniqua". I was NOT told this. I would remember hearing that. She said "let me check your record". Yep, the phone call was recorded and you were told "non-refundable". What?! I asked to hear the recording and Shaniqua told me that a supervisor would call me back and play it for me. What?!

I have not heard from anybody. Don't I own my garbage until I put it on the curb? Isn't recycling a better choice if available? Now I have to record my phone calls and I have video taped my garbage and the garbage men NOT picking up the hot water heater. This is partly what's wrong with this country. Why do we always have to tangle with red tape and rip off's?
