Watch out for Pep Boys Parts *UPDATE cheap materials by even cheaper labor *REBUTTAL employee
I bought a alternater from pep boys and put it my truck. As soon as I hooked it up it fried the wires and computer.Took it back and the alternater was bad.The manager gave me money to fix the wires. When I came back later to tell him about the computer he said the computer fried the alternater and denied the claim. So the moral of the story DONT BUY PEPBOYS PARTS thanks.

if we are so lacking in knowledge, why are you bringing your car in for service?yes we do have cheap parts, but they are no worse than everybody else that sells after market junk.if you want good parts, buy new or dealer parts, notcheap junk.like they always say[yous gets what yous pays for.]
.. the quality sucks and in every store I've ever been into, the employees are unprofessional, lacking knowledge, apathetic and just plain rude.

Their email: pelemissk@hotmail.com
Their name: Pele
Their relationship to the company: Consumer Suggestion
UPDATE:
I've had numerous mechanics tell me that the parts Pep Boys sells are sub-par. Usually made with cheap materials by even cheaper labor and that's only if they're new, most of their parts with a core are rebuilt anyway.
I suggest avoiding Pep Boys altogether. They aren't any cheaper or more convenient than any other auto parts store, but the quality sucks and in every store I've ever been into, the employees are unprofessional, lacking knowledge, apathetic and just plain rude.
