Complaint Review: WatchMaxx

WatchMaxx I purchased a Movado Bold watch in December 2016. It started clouding up and eventually would not 'clear'. I sent it in 4 times until they said they were going to replace it. Now it just happened AGAIN. And, now they are saying it is not covered under warranty and it was damaged upon receipt. I took a picture of it right before I packed it up (very carefully) I might add. Do not buy from here. Brooklyn NY

I purchased a Movado Bold watch in December 2016. Over the next few months it clouded up multiple times. They had me sent it back about 3 or 4 times to be 'fixed'. I didn't have it for a month and a half the first time and each time after, two weeks. Finally after the fourth time they said they would give me a new one. Well now a couple months later,  the same issue is happening. This time they made me pay for shipping and with insurance I paid $35 or so. I took a picture of the watch right before I sent it since it was still cloudy. We wrapped it up very well and sent it on its way. They finally received it today and told me it is my fault this is happening since it is broken.

It was not like this when I sent it and now - how convenient I might add....their warranty will not cover it. This company is a joke and has very poor customer service. Joe the manager said he would be my contact. When the issue happened this time, I emailed him and he passed me on to customer service and this is the letter I received:

The watch was received and sent over to our dealer.

I have spoken to the dealer and they stated the following.

Firstly, the crown is missing from the watch, Secondly, the watch glass is cracked so badly which is why moisture and condensation is getting into it and the watch is not running at all.

Therefore you are experiencing the problems you stated.

Unfortunately, this is not covered by warranty we can get you an estimate however, from experience it may not be worth it since it will be  quite costly.

Please advise if you would like to go ahead and pay for the repair or we can just return the watch back to you.
