On November 23, 2005 I opened an account with Waterhouse (invested $50,000). The promotion was to open an account and receive a free IPOD Nano. They said it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the Nano. I called in mid January. Waterhouse said, sorry, it will be there in February. In February I called, Waterhouse said sorry, it will be there soon. I have called over 8 times and they still tell me sorry it will come soon. Their latest is it will be there in April. Today is the 17th week since I opened the account. They want me to wait another 4-6 weeks to probably tell me sorry, another 4-6 weeks. I have asked to speak to supervisors and they tell me I can't call them, I need to write a letter. I wrote to the Better Business Bureau. I haven't heard back yet. The people I have talked to were:

Robert Dillworth who also said he'd have his supervisor, Catherine Smyth call. No call.

Mark Goldstack who told me Mel Berger would call me back. No call.

Evan Faling - who told me he was the top in the company but couldn't do anything. Would not transfer a call to his supervisor.

Plus several others but I didn't get there names because I wasn't yet dealing with the lies and the run-arounds.

Enough is enough. They are hoping to wear me down or think I'll forget about the Nano but I won't. I gave them $50,000 and they promised me a Nano. Shame on a big company like Waterhouse, trying to cheat out a small consumer.

I can be reached at This company and their misrepresentation need to be exposed.

I have my $50,000.00. That wasn't my complaint. I invested it to get the Nano.

I'd be more worried about my $50k. She "invests" $50,000 for a toy? It use to be a toaster. And on their side, offer a "toy" to get someone to caugh up $50k in your company and then not deliver. How dumb can they be. Not that dumb. She invested didn't she. What a nation we have become.
