Complaint Review: Waverider Resort

 To start with they falsely advertising as a resort! My husband booked this for our 11th Anniversary and being we're timeshare Owner's and the viewing appeared nice to Him online he went ahead and paid as a surprise! Anyhow when we arrived he was Shocked at what he drove up to because it was a dump (being nice)we went to the check in and right away wanted to cancel being timeshare owners we knew this weren't a Resort! The lady at the front desk told us we couldn't cancel nor get our money back, mine you we've booked for (3 nights,) because the manager which wasn't there would not have it! So she gives us our key (Like a real old fashion key ) to our supposedly Non smoking room because I have asthma!

Walk in it smelt like a bar I immediately walk out and returned to front desk requesting another room! She said no its non smoking, so another lady that smokes (a guest walks in there and says no there's been smoking in this room and lots of it!! So she gives us another one it's the Same way, the last room don't smell As bad but had roaches, ants, floors were dirty,bathroom, haven't been cleaned, sheets were Not clean, so I demanded cleaned ones. My husband and I spend 21/2 hours cleaning and stripping room down, mopping floors with old sheets before we even LAYED half way down! No we didn't stay the other two night because I frecked on management and let them Know I had over 20 pictures of this place and had police and Lawyers in my family and I would my money back one way or the other (In front of customers )
