Wayfair.com Gave out my personal information without permission and subscribed me to a magazine Boston, Massachusetts Nationwide
I ordered a couple of household items online from Wayfair.com recently. Today I received Parent's Magazine in the mail, which I did not order and did not want. I contacted Parent's Magazine to ask them why they sent it to me because I didn't order it. They told me that it was a free subscription courtesy of Wayfair.com and agreed to cancel it for me.
I contacted Wayfair.com and was told that I didn't "opt out" when I placed my order. That isn't true, because I would have opted out if there had been an option to do so. It was my fault, according to them, but that's a lie.
People need to be aware that Wayfair.com gives out their personal information to other companies without permission and signs them up for magazine subscriptions when they place an order.
I cancelled my account with them, but have no way of knowing how many other companies they shared my personal information with. I shut the barn door, but the horse is already out.
