A Dear friend recommended Wayne Beita after the Harvey flood. I hired him and paid him $30,000. I couldn't understand why he was never there overseeing what went on. I could have had my floors installed 3 months prior ( by the flooring company that originally removed my flooring), but he insisted to let him FINISH the job. It wasn't until over 3 months had passed and he finally had SOME of the floors installed. There wasn't enough wood ordered. He blamed not having enough wood to finish on the insurance adjuster. Meanwhile, new spindles were replaced on my Spiral stair case.
I noticed that they were installed crooked. He blamed that on the installer. These were never installed properly and never fixed. The Custom Cabinets came in a box that said, "Made from China" 4 months later. These were supposed to be CUSTOM cabinets made off site. The cabinets were installed crooked, with nails exposed, were measured incorrectly (He blamed it on my walls), etc. My Dad and Boyfriend scheduled a meeting with him on Saturday, January, 13th. He never showed up and had his dad there instead. He said that he had to suddenly go out of town. I had to fire him in order to get my house completed. I had his "People" take out all of these nonsense cabinets with a Harris County Constable there to over see it. ( Of course, he wasn't there) I had to hire a new contractor.
The first things that he noticed was that none of the 8 doors were installed properly, the 3 new stairs replaced were uneven heights, there were holes in every wall where the sheetrock and texturing was not done correctly, my baseboards and all trim had to be replaced. He used some type of NON-wood trim around my front door. He also used it in another doorway. The entire spiral stairway banister now moves and isn't safe. He SAID he put a down payment on my granite that I had picked out months ago. That was a LIE. I had to pay for the granite just recently. The contractor came in and gave me a quote of $18,000 to FIX what Wayne's people had messed up already. I still don't have a quote on the stairway and stairs. I kept asking him why he wasn't there to over see any of this.
He had no answer. I kept asking him when my house would be completed. He promised that it would be completed at the end of November, or within the next two weeks after that and that and that...... The days and months piled on. Wayne was NEVER there to see any of this. Wayne is NOT a General Contractor. He is there to take your MONEY and RUN! He has already been arrested for the exact same thing in Angleton, February 2017. I'm really upset about the Scammers that came in and took advantage of us after Hurricane Harvey. May justice be served. I have pictures of EVERYTHING, if you ever need them. This was such a horrific experience for me. Please just know that this guy is a SCAM artist! There is so much more, too much to write.
