Complaint Review: Wayne County Friend Of The Court

In Wayne County you are abused by the system that was supposedly put in place to protect children's welfare, the truth of the matter is they pocket more than they send out.

My mom was told years ago that she could not collect the child support payments that my Dad made because years prior to their collection my mother received welfare benefits. My Dad is in the process of clearing up all of the back child support he owes for all 5 of his children. We recently discussed that he is almost paid up.

I am 38 and my two brothers are older. So what does this tell me. The FOC didn't care when I was growing up they preffered that the system support us instead of my father and now when he is paying it and it should go to my mother the way it should have when we were children the FOC wants to take that money and keep it. That is just wrong. They tell me child support is for life. Not like other bills that can disappear with time but I guess that just means that they can keep what doesn't belong to them.

I think that Wayne Co. owes that child support to my mother by todays standards not the standards of 25 years ago. If they didn't care to take care of the business then, then they shouldn't be allowed to keep it now.
