It seems that if you are a woman in Wayne County, and owe support, you can get away with never paying.

Over the past 9 years, I have had 14 Showcause hearings and at each one, an order for witholding was issued by the court. As of today, NO order has been submitted to my ex-wife's employers.

I had a lien on her share of her Fathers estate,a nd the court ordered that it would be used for he arrerages, and the balance was to be held for future support payment, due to her history of non-payment. FOC sent me part of the arrerages, and the balance was sent to her, even though she was still over 5,000 in arrers

FOC made a data entry mistake that showed her monthly support to be much lower than what was ordered.  I caught this within 2 months, but it took me 2 years to get the case auditied, and another 2 years to get the problem corrected after the audit.

She now owes me well over 16,000 and last year they finally held her taxes for the first time ( I have been told that holding taxes is automatic)

Neither of us live in Wayne county any longer, and the State of Michigan, won't allow me to move the case to another county, even though they admit that Wayne County is overworked and understaffed for the casload it carries.  One would think that moving a case out, would benifit both the wayne County FOC by having fewer cases, and the CHILD by having an FOC office that actually does its job.

I fianally got a warrent issued, but now that she is moving from place to place, she can't be found..

If this situation had been reversed, I would have been in Jail many years ago, and my wages garnished for the payments.  But not for a woman...what a joke.
