I wish to comment on the February 11, 2018 report filed by this person named Ayshi.  My name is Bruno Giurlando and in February 2018 I purchased the vacation plan offered by Waypoint Vacation Co-op.  I have had the opportunity to read both reports filed on this site - the first in January 2018 and this second report in February 2018.  Both reports are from Brampton and according to my research appear to have been instigated by a Brampton travel company that services the Indian communities in the district of Brampton.  In this respect, the complaints stem, if not directly, certainly through the intervention of a competitor that is apparently threatened by this vacation co-operative that is regulated by the Ontario government.

Preliminarily, I would like to state that I consider the January anonymous report and the Ayshi report to constitute unsubstantiated and libelous comments that should not be published.  I have already recommended to the executive of Waypoint Vacation Co-op that they should initiate legal action against this website for permitting and publishing unsubstantiated comments and for failing to supervise and edit the contents of its commentators.  The name of the website itself is libelous in that it connotes the commission of a fraud.  Readers should note that effective 5/24/2018, consumers located in the European Union are prohibited from using this site.  Obviously, the European Union has deemed this site to be libelous and untrustworthy and has prohibited its members from using it.

This website is based in the United States and is a commercial enterprise with profit as its motif.  It permits anyone to bad mouth legitimate companies in order, to receive large sums of money from these companies if they wish to have the false reports investigated and removed from the website.  This is not a consumer watchdog, and no one should be fooled by reading these unsubstantiated reports.

Ayshi states that his in laws almost purchased the plan and membership so he has had no personal contact with the Waypoint company.  If this company was not legitimate, the Ontario government would not have permitted its existence.  As a co-operative, the company is regulated by the Ontario government and is a member of the Ontario Co-operative Association.  If anyone has any questions regarding the legitimacy of the company and the product it offers, they can certainly contact the provincial co-operative association to check on the status of the company, rather than listen to unsubstantiated gossip of lowlifes such as these commentators.

I also find it very offensive that the commentator has made a character attack on a management staff, not ever having met the person or having had any contact with this company.  I have met Mr. Cecil Hendrix and hold him in very high esteem, as I do the members of the company's executive.  I have no doubt that Mr. Hendrix was the subject of institutional bias and the victim of jealousy and envy from less competent and successful competitors who wanted to see him down and out.  My question is how did Mr. Ayshi come to know of Mr. Hendrix's name since Mr. Hendrix would not have had any dealings with his in laws?  This suggests that this commentator is none other than a competitor of some type who is threatened and wishes to damage the Waypoint company.

Obviously there is an ulterior motive behind this report.  This is not an uninterested commentator.  Further, to suggest that there are hundreds of RCI unsatisfied Platinum members is also misleading.  RCI is the biggest travel wholesaler in the world.  It has over 5 million member-families in its portfolio and books over 30 million vacations per year.  This is no small number.  And even if there are a few hundred complaints in the arsenal of 30 million bookings or 5 million members, that figure would prove to be minimalistic or miniscule in the overall picture.

Moreover, it should be noted that RCI has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), which proves that all complaints received by RCI have been resolved satisfactorily.  Other major companies and banks such as Walmart, Shopper's Drugmart, TD, CIBC, etc., have ratings ranging from C to F, and they still retain our trust and confidence.  To suggest that Waypoint Vacation Co-op should not be trusted because the product it retails concerns membership in a company (i.e., RCI Platinum Membership) that in fact has an A+ rating with the BBB, the most reliable consumer watchdog in the world, is preposterous to say the least.

These two individuals who have posted reports against Waypoint on this site are completely uninformed and fail to report the entire picture.  As I have indicated, I registered and became a new member of Waypoint Vacation Co-op this past February.  In exchange for my membership, I received shares in the co-op, which entitled me to a tax credit of $3,000, and I was issued an RRSP certificate equivalent to the value of my membership shares, which also entitled me to a further tax credit. None of this is mentioned in these reports which indicates to me that these commentators and their family members are so unsophisticated as to fail to appreciate the benefits received here.

Why is none of this mentioned?  They suggest the cost of the membership to be 20K but do not mention the rebates or tax credits of 10K.  This shows how devious and conniving they are.  The product offered here is not simply a vacation plan, and further this is not a vacation club.  Let's get that straight.  Further, neither commentator has listed their name.  The January report is written anonymously, and this February report gives no family name.  I have listed my full name and stated that I am a very satisfied and appreciative member of Waypoint Vacation Co-op and RCI.   I do not hesitate to recommend this company, and anyone who wishes to contact me is free to do so.
