I'm entering this discussion because I received the annoying smiley-card from Lisa Eastwood in my mail yesterday. A Google-search sent me to www.ripoffreport.com where I learned that this was actually the second attempt by WCP to scam me. This site and especially reports from ex-employees have given me insight - thank you all!

Now I do thank the ex-employees for being responsible enough to quit their job and share their knowledge to prevent fraud, but still they are inevitably subject to some of my criticism. A report by ex-employee Doris from Arizona defends the employees involved in this because they are in need and just doing their job. It appears that it is even considered as some sort of charity, providing a good job opportunity to people in need and thereby also saving tax payers from welfare expenses.

This is to all those who would consider this opportunity or already took it. Doing this, you choose to annoy and harass people and fill them with lies for the sole purpose of making profit. You play a crucial role in the scam by being the human that good people dont assume to be a blatant liar. You are the one winning and betraying their trust, and you punish people for being faithful enough to believe in your good intentions. Maybe you are even so disrespectful that you merely consider the victims as being stupid and naive. What need do you think you have that would justify you to do this?

For those who would do this only to get by: Welfare dependency is no shame compared to earning your money this way, and you are definitely not saving society any expenses. These fraudulent companies constitute a huge waste of resources and time - not only to the specific people theyre scamming, but to society as a whole, and we are all paying a price in a number of ways.

For those who would do it for the good wage: The bit of conscience you may possess is evidently for sale. You simply don't care about other people as long as you can make a profit on them.

It is indeed a free country, and this includes that you have a freedom to choose. The choices may not always be what you desire, but today you sure can survive and get by in The United States without resorting to such a dirty choice. So if you decide to make money on lying to old people, dont fool yourself to believe that youre not to blame. You carry part of the responsibility, and whatever the reasons for doing it, at the least you should regret the harm you cause. This country can only provide us with freedom and possibilities to the extent that people use it responsibly, and this is a severe abuse and disrespect of the values we have been given.

Work is not just work - unless money is really all you care about. If you have any conscience, take responsibility for your acts and don't resort to being a liar for money. It's a harmful and disgusting business that can only exist as long as you're willing to help it. Don't.

AMEN!! Your need for a job does not justify harming others

I can't agree with these comments more. It amazes me how many people justify knowingly ripping off and harming others becuase they "just need to make a living". I'm talking about otherwise good cops who issue bogus tickets at the beginning and ending of every month becuase of their quota, about collection agents working for scumbags like Camco and the lawyers who defend these kind of scum. Just because the law allows you to do what you do and some Federal agency or attorney generals office hasn't stopped you doesn't make what you do right. Do these people really think they are making the world a better place becuase they can collect some money on a 15 year old debt and the money ends up in some cocaine addicts off shore account in Jamaca (i.e. Camco) or playing off of seniors hopes of winning a sweeptakes into uneeded magazine subsciptions. I quite a wonderful job that I loved which payed good money selling computers. The sales mangers kept pressuring us to sell overpriced service contracts that customers simply didn't need and I know were a poor value. When push came to shove I refused to pressure people into buying that and for my stance I ending up getting forced out of my job in spite of being one of the company's top sales persons. But at least could sleep at night and look at myself in the mirror and didn't have to feel I was feeding my kids with blood money.
