I also have received a postcard signed Lisa Eastwood, from WCP. I do know from past experience that your credit card company DOES have an option box or something similar to mark or specify as to whether or not you wish to be contacted by outside companies etc. for good deals and what-not.

You must call your credit card companies and specifically tell them that you do NOT want your information given to anyone outside the company. If they let you specify inside the company, choose that one also.

I personally have not called this number as some companies you call are known to be able to see the number you are calling from. Credit card companies are perfect examples of this. I called mine from a payphone at a local store once. A month later, the store owner told me that the company kept calling the payphone asking for me.

A good rule for things like this is....you are not losing anything by not calling them. If you do not call them, it puts them out of business. These people thrive on the weaknesses of of others, and the fact that everyone is always looking for a 'good deal'.

Always remember that they will try to make it look as appealing to you as possible. And a 'handwritten' card or addressed letter looks personal. NEVER give your credit card number to anyone over the phone. Remember this: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I am sorry for rambling on like this. I used to be a telemarketer calling on behalf of charities. They are just as ruthless in their attempt to part you and your money as most of these other rip-off scams. I only feel that the consumer should be made aware of their options. And you have the right to tell your credit card company to not share your personal information with anyone.

I apologise if this response is not according to the guidelines. I am only trying to inform others who may not be aware of the options. Thank you.
