Have you ever been bullied to quit by your employer? CW17's Business Department, local HR and Corporate HR are famous for backstabbing their employee's. It just so happens, no on wants to say anything due to fear of losing their job, well that's just what happened to me. I had a great job at CW17 until I reported the Senior Accountant, Cliff Coble, for saying harassing comments about CW17's employees', within a month I was forced out of the company. How would you like to work for a company that claims to be so Anti-Harassment, only to find out that they are the ones doing the harassing and not correcting the situation at hand??

If you have experienced or is experiencing this issue with CW17, please be brave enough to at least make an anonymous comment here, this is one of the ways to stop the madness. Please know that you are the victim, not the victimizer, if you come forward. It is not ok for the the Senior Accountant, Cliff Coble, the Business Manager, Tom Garris, Virginia Routzahn, local HR, and Allyson Myers, "former VP, to degrade you, belittle you, tell your business and taunt you whether it's behind close doors or not. You best believe if I knew so much about the employees in such a short period, you better believe you are a VICTIM too! WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL.. its called the ANTI-HARASSMENT ACT, use it to your advantage, but don't call corporate HR, they are the ones that take the initial report, to only hold it against you later. Gwen Bartenheimer, HR Specialist, in Richmond, will be the first to hold it against you, although when you make the report, she tells you that it will be no retaliation, but when you turn in one of their "own" HR people, i.e. Ginny, for reporting false information, its a whole different story. The LESSON here is: NO ONE IS SAFE UNDER CW17'S ROOF, YOU WILL GET BURNED.

If you are over weight, African American, a woman, gay or l*****n, smoke, or maybe you didn't take your husbands last name when you married, YOU have been a victim by Management at CW17. IF YOU HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS AGAINST ANYONE AT CW17, PLEASE COME FORWARD!!!

CW17 had a major turn-over in the accounting department, the people that are in those positions now will sink the ship. They break the SOX regulations by going in and printing missing financial documents, sign and dating months after the fact, "plugging numbers" as Tom called it instead of actually reconciling the GL's...Which is illegal, and the Business Manager, Tom Garris, and Senior Accountant, Cliff Coble, did it with no hesitation.

HELP!!! SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT WITH THIS COMPANY...THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS COMPANY...

I was having to take time off, month or more, for medical necessary surgery, and Allyson Myers former VP of CW17, was extremely hateful and unsympathetic when I explained to her what I needed to have done, Aly got irate at me and I've been with this company for 10 yrs, never miss work, and she made me feel less of a woman and to her my surviving was a joke. Yes, I did take the time off, but this abuse has to cease at CW17/Media General, Inc. I've seen Managements behavior cause other great employees to leave because of the way we are treated here.
