We ordered a freezer that was supposed to be "similar" to a blast freezer in that regard that the compressor unit and evaporator was supposed to be oversized for the amount of product we bring into the freezer (on bakers racks).  That was done fine.

The first problem occured that we received the panels damaged, and it was up to us to have this solved with the shipping company.  First bad point.

When we had a company that services freezers (for many companies, including supermarkets in the area) install the panels and the evaporator and compressor, we noticed that one door was opening the wrong way (thus handle on wrong side)!!  We notified the company and they were not willing to send us the correct door, unless we pay for the shipping back, and for the shipping for the new door from their warehouse back to us. (we're in VT).  Second bad point.

During the installation, the installers also told us (as we could see as well) that the panels were made from styrofoam (not polypropylene as I said before) instead of polyethylene.  This has a much less insulation R-value and that for a blast freezer (temps go down to -30F). This is thus issue #3.

Last but not least part that the panels do not fit properly (be it because of the damage which they did not want to take responsability for or the panels themselves).  Problem is that it leaks like crazy, and creates a wall of frost at the door.  We have to make-shift a solution so that it would not become so bad so that we could hardly even open the door.  That was issue # 4.

Total cost for this freezer was over $15,000 !! and to get a box of junk is unacceptable.

When we started communicating with this company about these issues, they ended not returning calls, and I was never able to get to the right person in question.   I suggest NEVER to buy a freezer online, NEVER from a company that does not have a serious reputation, and NEVER from a company that cannot do the service/installation themselves, and if you can, GO LOCAL.  You as the customer will get squished between the manufacturer and the installer, each blaming one another (heard this before with house builders and sub contractors???).

I do not have the time to go after a company that is some 1500 miles away.  Just learned a very expensive lesson and will not burn my hands again on this.
