I've contacted this company through their only mean of communication, the forums. They have a facebook, but they do not post when the servers will be out of service. But however it is a rare they post when the servers go down. They suppose to let us know 1 day ahead by their own Term of Service laws by email, and they never do.
I have advise the company to post those updates on their fan page but they are refusing to. The customer service sucks at webs.com. I pay premium prices for 3 websites with the company. They want me to pay when the server is out to, which is stupid. I have contact the BBB in Wash DC, and the FTC on Sunday.

This company needs to be dealt with!

Recent Webs Outages

#2UPDATE Employee

Fri, July 20, 2012

We know the past few days have been very difficult for our Webs customers. We have experienced a number of unplanned outages that affect your ability to manage websites hosted with us. As these were unplanned it was not possible for us to notify customers in advance.

When there are unplanned outages many of our normal channels of Support may also be down. At these times we encourage customers to visit our Community Support page which will be updated by our employees and customers so that we can have a shared knowledge and understanding of the scope of the issue and an estimate for when things will be resolved.

These recent issues have been caused by a number of distributed denial of service attacks (also known as DDOS) by a group of unscrupulous people.

More information on DDOS attacks can be found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

Our network security team has been working around the clock to mitigate impact and we have made significant strides in preventing these types of attacks from affecting our customers in the future.
