Weight Loss Systems Lean Body Burn ripoff Hollywood, Florida
On July 5, 2010, I ordered a trial of Lean Body Burn from an online website. On my credit card they took $3.87 off for the trial and then $87.47 for the product.
On August 17, I called my credit card company dispute department and explained the problem to them. One of their agents called the company with me on the line, and talked to one of their representatives.
I found that since I hadn't cancelled in 10 days that I had to pay the charges. I agreed and we cancelled my account with the company. I then received charges of $2.95 and $87.47 on this months credit card statement under the name Diet Max.
I got online and found that both were the same company and found that alot of people were very upset and feeling ripped off by this company because they were being charged over and over again even though they had called and cancelled and were given the run around.
They said that the only way to stop them was to cancel your credit card. So I called my credit card dispute department and cancelled my card and filed a claim with them on the new charges.
I have filed a claim with BBB of Southeast Florida and received an e-mail from them today saying,"We regret to inform you that BBB cannot process your complaint. The case has been reviewed and was found to contain issues that are out of BBB's Purview. Your complaint would best be handled by the Attorney General's office listed below." They have given the address for The Alabama Attorney General.
I have also filed a claim with the Division of Consumer Services in Florida.
