Got hassled to sign up for a time share, yes it's a timeshare, at a baseball game. Relentless salespeople that don't take no for an answer. Told us there's a $50 deposit you get back after taking the tour. Offered us a room at the resort, Giants tickets, and Disneyland tickets. Well, there isn't a room at the resort. Looked in the envelope when I got home and it isn't even a room at the resort. It's a voucher for $75 towards a room if you take their tour. I called wanting to cancel and the lady was extremely rude. "What, did he force you to sign it?" The attitudes of the guy at the game and the lady on the phone were horrible. If you're this bad and trying to get me to buy the timeshare how bad are you going to be later. Until they refund my money I'm just going to stand by their tent at the ballgames with a sign that says to avoid the scam. Maybe I'll get my $50 worth of entertainment by helping others avoid them :-)

When you post here, you kind of are asking for opinions.  This isn't your personal blog.

Just pointing out that nobody can make you sign a contract, and that it really is possible to walk away.  It isn't even that difficult.  You say No and turn your back.  Done.

I love the "relentless salespeople who don't take no for an answer" trope.  Yes, they do.  They take no for an answer if you stick to NO.  If you're on the phone, you can hang up.  If you are talking to them in person, you can walk away.  If they follow you, call a cop.  If they get abusive, call a cop.  NOBODY CAN MAKE YOU TURN A NO INTO A YES.

They will not hold a gun to your head and make you sign anything.  They can beg, cajole, guilt-trip....but they can't make you sign.  "What, did he force you to sign it?" is a legitimate question.  The answer is no, they did not.  You could have told the salesperson No, then Hell No, then Shove it up your A** if he persisted.  But he could sense you were a soft touch.

Once you give in and say Yes, THEN they've got you because THEY will not take no for an answer.  You have only yourself to blame for your situation.  Good luck.
