I ordered this product for a free 30 sample from a TV advertisement. I was bombarded on the phone call for 15 minutes for all kinds of other products to buy under much pressure, even though I told them I'm not interested in anything else. Somewhere in that snow storm I was instructed to cancel in 30 days to avoid some kind of shipment for the product. I called shortly after that to cancel. I received the package in the meantime, I was told by the person I cancelled with that I wouldn't receive anything else. Well a package came anyway.

I called them to get my money back, the order line couldn't help me, sent me to write to a PO box for a dispute with customer service, I couldn't talk to anyone live. I sent the letter, they wrote me back to deny refund. Saying I agreed to getting this on tape to receive every month. I called order line again, I said I still have the unopened package in the box they sent, they told me too bad, I still wouldn't get the refund, & to write to the PO Box again. I can't believe the tactics of this company. I want them to burn for this.

Dispute the charges with your credit card company

I'm assuming that since you are on an "autoship" program that they are billing your credit card. Here's what you should do (in my opinion). Take the package to the post office and write "refused - return to sender" on it, and get some kind of record that you did this. Then call your credit card company and let them know that the charges are invalid and see if they will reverse them for you, and at least make sure that they don't allow this company to bill you anymore. If this resolves the problem, then wipe your hands of the matter and chalk it up to a lesson learned (i.e. nothing is really "free" if you need to give out your credit card number to get it).

If this doesn't resolve the matter, or if you had paid with a debit card and can't get the charges reversed, and if it's that big of an issue to you, try small claims court. If they are running TV ads in New Jersey they should be subject to jurisdiction there for any problems resulting from the ads. I would imagine that once you serve them with notice of the suit they will refund your money, as it will be cheaper than trying to defend themselves on the other side of the country. If they don't, go to the courthouse at the scheduled time. If they don't show, a default judgment will be entered in your favor. If they do show, argue your case as best you can. If your claim has some merit to it and you still lose, you most likely won't be out for too much more than what you have already paid.

Granted, I don't know all the facts of your situation, and I am not a lawyer. As such, please take this as a suggestion and NOT competent legal advice. Only an attorney can give you dependable legal advice.
