Complaint Review: Wellness Center for Research & Education Inc.

This case is really clear from the e-mails that there was a agreed upon services for a agreed upon price, the client has stated in a e-mail she was happy with the changes I made to her web site.

The only page not updated was the Home Page – After explaining why we failed to make changes to the home the client, in a e-mail states she made edits to the page using the exact method she accused me of using to update the Home Page.

I am stating that all the page in the web site where updated, the liked the changes and because of one page (the Home Page was not included in the template updates) the client don’t want to pay for anything.

I did exactly what I was hired to do – Update the ShopSite Templates

Agreed:  Thank you Dave. Attached is the New logo and the login to natural healingpro.com which you are doing live RIGHT  and not in the demo site.  (just to be clear).  I have SEO people making changes daily in the live site.

1.    I updated the logo size and updated the code that controlled this section – edits was made to the Home Page – client acknowledges this on Jan 10,2015 at 4:08pm telling me “The home page looks good. The logo looks better. If you say that the links in black on white don't look good, I believe that.  I can change the color blue anytime.  I will try another color now and then I will be back at 3pm PST.”
2.    On 1/11/2015 at 4:55pm In a e-mail the client was still trying to figure out who edited the Home Page (NOTE: this would have meant to me She was trying to figure out who edited the Home Page Before ME – I edited it on 1/9/2015) ---- Client acknowledges that she likes everything I have dune.

3.    On 1/11/2015 at 5:30pm – I am explaining to the client that It would take mare time because I was not expecting the Home Page to be Out-Side ShopSite Templates – The Client responds On 1/11/2015 at 5:41pm with “How much time have you spent on this?  
I will let you know about what I want to do soon.

I respond with “I currently have 4.87hr.  = $579.53”
4.    On 1/12/2015 at 4:22pm I receive a e-mail from the client telling me that SHE Updated the HOME PAGE herself --- She Locked me out of the Site – I could not do any updates at this point --

I had to redo the home page myself.  Took me no more than 1/2 hour.   It was in FTP and the changes you made were in the FTP too.  So, I redid all the changes myself.  I am very dissappointed that you did not tell me that you changed the ftp file.  This is documented below.

Your developer made the changes to the homepage manually via FTP instead of doing it in ShopSite. That is why it is different now, and portions missing.

The homepage was last edited via FTP at 2:10 AM ET on January 10th: the edit on Jan 10th was from a Road Runner connection in Ohio.  So, please discount what i owe you as I will pay you only for the work that you did which is enter the new logo.  You could have just entered everything in shopsite on the home page.

5.    I Told the client everything  - and she new I had updated the Home Page from the e-mail back on Jan 10,2015 at 4:08pm so Lexiconn (HOST) confirming this is no big deal
6.    Client admits using FTP to edit the HOME PAGE
