WellNet America, American Values stole my money. Rip-off! Las Vegas Nevada
In July 2004 I was offered free gas for trying a 30 day free membership with WellNet. All I had to pay was $3.00 shipping. I was told I could cancel before the 30 days were up and I would not be charged. Before the 30 days expired, my credit/debit card was charged two amounts totaling about $230.
I immediately called the 800 number listed. I was told that they would refund my money, but I had to first fill out a "request for refund." They sent this form out to me and I filled it out and sent it in. I called and was told they received the request on August 4th (almost 4 weeks after I mailed it) and were processing it. I should receive a refund check within 10 to 14 days.
After waiting 14 days, I called back. I was then told that they don't know why I haven't received the check and they would "investigate" it. This would take 72 hours to process, and then 10-14 days to mail another check out. This has continued for 3 months now. My account has been "investigated" twice, "red-flagged" once, and it is now "priority-flagged"
They, of course, have no way for me to contact the corporate office. No phone number, no address. They did give me an email address, but when I emailed them I got a "delay" message back.
I don't understand how these people can steal so many people's money and get away with it. I want my money back, but even more than that, I want them to get caught so they can not continue to steal people's money!
