WARNING: I am an SSI recipient and the only way I can get my money is through a financial insititution. SSI is my sole income and I am required to obtain it through direct depost. On the 1st of October, 2004... I was due $790.00 , 450 of which had to go for my rent. When I checked my account there was only $300.00 in it. I called up immediately to demand what was going on, I called the social security office to verify that all of it had gone in... it had.

Wells Fargo put me through a 3 wek investigation only to tell me after hanging up on my 5 times, without specifics that their actions had been justified and that there was nothing they could do about it. My advice, stay away from Wells Fargo.

Did Wells Fargo ever tell you what happened to the money, and if so, what did they say?

Did you call the 1-800 Customer Service number? If so, you might want to try walking in to a local branch ... many times they can do things and help you in ways that the 1-800 number cannot.
