Here are facts.

  • On Dec 5th I sold about 2000 shares held through the company scheme.  This amounted to $19011.24

  • On Dec 10th these were settled and a wire for the proceeds were sent from Computer Share UK (Citibank GB).

  • This wire was routed through Wells Fargo as intermediary bank and should have been forwarded to my account with Iberia Bank.

  • Wells Fargo directed the funds into one of their own customer accounts by mistake.

  • That customer spent $9261.24

  • After much chasing around the facts were discovered and Wells Fargo returned $9750.00

  • To date Wells Fargo have refused to return the balance of $9261.24.  They blame Citi Bank and Citi Bank blame Wells Fargo.

  • This has now been going on for over 60 days.
Everytime I manage to get hold of a contact at Wells Fargo they try and blame someone else. The facts are very clear. Wells Fargo credited the wrong account and are now refusing to make good the balance of $9261.24
