Worst experience of my life.  First, they refuse to work with customers.  Second, they will NOT let you make principal payments online because you might save some interest.  It is their whole angel to make sure they get every cent out of their customers that they can.  Originally if you wanted to make a principal payment, they made you visit a branch office.  They did finally come up with a mailing address for principal payments but not being able to make them online is complete BS.  Then if you do pay more than your monthly amount online, they will just reduce the amount of your next payment.  If you do call them to have them apply the funds to your principal balance, the customer service rep will give you an attitude.  Third, when you are able to pay off the loan, you CANNOT do it online or over the phone.  They make you mail it so that they can get 2-4 more days’ interest out of you.  Finally, they will cut off your online access so that you CANNOT even verify that they applied the money to your account. 

I will NEVER do business with Wells Fargo again.  The buggy and horses is a perfect logo for this company because trying to get anything done takes just as long as a horse and buggy would take.  Do yourself a big favor and pass up anything this company has to offer.

This is the WORST experience, not just worst banking experience, not just worst customer service experience but as you stated the WORST experience of your LIFE.  Well if this is the case you have had a very easy life and need to cut down on the caffeine.

I'm surprised that you didn't accuse them of being in cahoots with the Post Office because you have to buy a stamp to mail your extra payment in.  I wonder if you are going to write a RipOff report on every other bank that doesn't do on-line principal payments...because I can tell you that Wells Fargo isn't the only one.

In the end thanks for the laugh and if you really want to see people who are having a bad experience why not head down to your local homeless shelter and tell them your story.   Be sure to let us know what they said.
